Best Engineering Schools

“Trust me, I’m an engineer”. This is the name of a Facebook page but it also represents the meaning of being an engineer. An engineer knows what he’s doing. When you have an engineer fixing something for you, you trust him and you don’t question his work.

There are some jobs where you can become very good at it almost instantly. Engineering is not one of them. Becoming an engineer is hard work and you have to be able to use a part of the brain which not many can. Besides the natural talent, in order to become a good engineer. one  also needs to graduate a good engineering school.

There are many rankings of best engineering schools and they have many criteria they’re based on. We believe that what matters the most is the job offers you receive after. In other words, what job alternatives you have after graduating one school or another. We look at alumni and at their careers and compare.

Best Engineering Schools

Here is our list of Best Engineering Schools

1)    California Institute of Technology

Many would disagree and say that MIT should be number 1. You are right and you’re not. If we consider reputation and maybe even the teaching quality, yes, MIT is the best, but we took into consideration the career options after graduating the success rate, and some other indicators that make California Institute of Technology a little better.   CIT is the smallest school in the list and this is a great advantage because students can have a better relationship with their professors. Also they have great opportunities for many of their students because the student/faculty ratio is three to one.

2)    Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

MIT is the most popular engineering school in the world and in most of the rankings is the best.

3)    Stanford University

Stanford doesn’t have only one of the best engineering programs but also has top programs in science, social science and others.

4)    Georgia Institute of Technology

Highest education and very good tuition price makes Georgia Institute to be a great choice.

5)    University of California – Berkeley

Berkeley is considered to be the best public school in United States.  The only problem with University of California is changing majors. It is very difficult for someone to change his major.

These are, in our opinion, the best 5 engineering schools. There are other fantastic schools and we will mention them here: Carnegie Mellon University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Michigan, Cornell University, Harvard, Princeton, and Cambridge.

As a conclusion, we want to say that you can achieve great results joining any University you want, as long as you are determined to work, to continue when others give up and to really want to succed.
